Hi all 🙂
I've recently reinstalled win2k on my 40GB hdd, the only problem I've experiences over the operation being a lack of sound from the rear channels of my FPS 1500 system (4.1, Cambridge soundworks/creative). The two rear speakers work fine, verified by reversing the channel cable, resulting in rear sound and no front. It appears that no data is being sent to the rear channel jack on my sblive (sorry if I'm misapplying this jargon, I don't pretend to be a guru of acoustics 🙂). I'm testing the sound with winamp, a program which successfully worked with 4.1 before I formatted. I've enabled the quadraphonic speaker setup under sounds and multimedia, and have tried driver revisions 3300, 3219, and the default driver under windows 2000. I haven't yet installed the liveware (yes, there is a specific reason for this; it is resource hogging CRAP), but if installation of that means enabling my other two speakers, i'll happily oblige you.
Ideas/thoughts?
Any comments are very much appreciated 🙂
