Trust me, you dont NEED to view the garage forum. What you need is to go out, get some life experience, and learn why you should stop pushing your sidewall agenda on Anandtech. Nobody here cares and its not the real issue anyway. The real issues are in your head, and you need to get those sorted out before you do anything else.
In the olden days I'd recommend signing up for the service, but these days you'd probably get killed before you had a chance to learn anything about life.

Instead I recommend some other group that spends time going around the world and doing things. Maybe the peace corps or Red Cross.

Yeah because humanitarian missions are real important when we've got more important things like global warming. Who gives a shit if I save a life or two when millions of lives are going to perish because we're going to fuck up the climate and cause certain places to become deserts which will result in widespread famine, water rationing, and extinction of many species. More CO2=more retention of heat, the only people who are denying that global warming is real are those who are in denial because they know how grave the situation is if they had to admit to themselves that it is true.
