Trouble with Win 7 install(missing usb/dvd driver)

SAWYER

Lifer
I have an Acer laptop that would not boot up so I wiped the drive with gparted except for the recovery partition. I have a Win 7 disc I am trying to use to install Windows and it loads up and when it is about to start installing I get a error saying something about a required usb/cd/dvd drive device driver is missing. I have got this error when using the laptops disc drive and an external drive. Both drives show up in bios and it will load the setup files from the disc with either drive.

edit" I tried it again while running setup from the usb drive. When it gave the error about the missing drive I canceled and went back to the start screen but took the install disc from the usb and put it in the laptop drive and then it started the install like normal
