Trouble with VirtualDub

I'm using VirtualDub-1.7.2-AMD64 and I want to encode in DivX and have installed the latest Divx codec, but its not in the compression menu in VirtualDub... Can anyone out there help this poor noob?

I tried the non beta. I'm beginning to think its a problem with x64 vista because windows movie maker doesn't recognize divx files either... I downloaded the latest virtualdub mod, and it worked just fine.
