Trouble with upgraded G4 tower

I have a G4 Quicksilver that I upgraded with parts from Other World Computing. Everything worked swimmingly until one day I came back from the chiropractor and the mac was frozen. Had to re-install OS, then it worked fine again for a few months and now when I power it on I get no boot chime and no video signal. Here's the loadout:

Sata card
stock video card
Seagate Sata drive
Ethernet card from Sonnet
Newer Technologies 2.0ghz cpu upgrade
2.5 gb of ram

I replaced the mainboard twice at my own expense (tracking them down was costly) and it didn't seem to help. I replaced the motherboard battery also. It's been so long since I've messed with it that I'm foggy on details but frankly I'm stumped.

Lots and lots of google searches revealed very little and nothing exactly like what I am experiencing. Does anyone here have some clues? I am thinking it's power related but I can't be sure. Thanks for any help, I'd love to have this thing back working.

Sounds like a Power Supply issue to me, you should get a new one.

You might want to check eBay, I usually have good luck finding parts for macs there.

So is it a high probability that it's power and not video? I notice that one of the power molex connectors in the g4 has black on the end of it. Not on the pins but on the plastic. Could this just be a blemish or could something else be dead?

I would rate it as a high probability, yes. If the PSU is cheaper than a new GPU, then that is what you should check first, in fact even if it isn't cheaper you should. Because if the PSU is what is bad you will just keep burning out parts until you replace it.
