Trouble with uninstalling programs with Win2K

I recently installed napster v9.0 then overwritten it with v9.6. However, in the Add/Remove Programs windows, I still get to see the old v9.0 entry. Anyone knows how to remove this entry entirely? Thanks.

I had this same problem back when I was dual booted with WIN98 except that the App that gave me problems was ASUS Probe. Each time I upgraded to the latest version, WIN2K would add another instances of it in Add/Remove Programs and I could not uninstall the previous. I have since converted my system to WIN2K only and have luckily not had to deal with this....yet. Please let me know how you solve this.

while I can't tell you how to fix this, I do know this happens to all/many people. Most software you install/update with new versions, install into same directory simply overwrites old with new. Well, Napster does, but it creates 1,2,.... enteries in there (ADD/Remove programs). Best guess, removing say the 1st one will get rid of program, 2nd one will have to be via Registry as there will be no program to remove now.
