Trouble with the silicon image 3114 controller

I am having trouble with the Sil3114. Does this controller just suck or what? I install the drivers but I still can't get the HD to show up. In the device manager it still says there's a mass controller chillin out there with no drivers. Any pointers?

Is the drive partitioned? If not, you'll have to go to disk management and partition it to see it.

That wouldn't solve your device manager problem, though. Do you have the latest drivers?

No clue... good luck though... my SiI RAID Controller puts out some nice numbers for me....

Make sure they're the correct, NEWEST drivers though.

does your idrive have ipartitions? If not, you have to make em and iformat them before they show up.
