1st off, the DVD won't play at all on my PS2. why is that?

2nd,
Im playing the movie on my OTHER pc using Power DVD, Kryo2 w/tv out.
Movie plays absolutely flawless on my pc, but if I try to record it to VHS, the picture keeps flipping in & out of color to black & white.

Its not my setup cuz I can record any other DVD just fine.
Is this a form of copy protection or something else?

Its not like Im copying the DVD itself, Im just recording the video thats displayed on my TV, so I have no idea whats causing this.

And why doesnt my PS2 recognize this DVD?
It has no problems with any other dvd,

Only thing I really noticed is that the DVD is gold instead of silver, like most are.
Hmmmm...

Macrovision will keep you from being able to copy DVDs to VHS. It screws up the picture so the copy will be worthless.

Thats from a DVD standalone player >> VHS. You shouldnt have that problem if you're tv outing.

I believe the signal is still passed unless you have an external macrovision remover....

Bah.. I don't think I'll be buying DVDs at Costco anymore. They seem to stock only the Fullscreen version of TMR..

I went to Blockbuster and all they had was the FS version, so, I haven't rented it. I suspect the widescreen is harder to get in quantity... usually BlockBuster has WideScreen and sometimes the FS versions too. Odd.

Huh, I didnt realize the Collectors edition widescreen version I got was so rare, it was purchased at Kmart.
