trouble with seti@home n setidriver

got s@h cli goin on win2k

put SD into cli directory and start it.. select a new client and select cli.exe file.. and it doesnt do anything.. what am i doing wrong?

also when i run cli a dos box comes up... i thought cli runs in the background.. when i close this box.. the work dies...

anyways.. i'm probably making some mistakes here.. help me out please.

First, Welcome to the TeAm Smokey0066! :)

After installing the programs, pull up SETIDriver....did you set the Desired Cache Size to anything other than 0...if not, place a number, at least 3 in there (Maybe more depending on the speed of your PC...more cached WU's based on PC speed). Check the Hide Processing Box, the Auto Transmit box and UNCHECK the Display Transmit box. Hit the Save Config button then hit the transmit button.

It should then cache the number of WU's that you have selected and start crunching. Also, check the Use SETI Driver box in the Progress Monitoring section and the it should show you the percentage complete bar at the bottom of the SETIDriver box.

Don't do the new client thing, that's only after you've been running it and then change client versions. Right when you run SETI Driver it should ask for the CLI client, select the client then.
