Trouble with Outlook express

I'm having some trouble solving a customers problem right now. She's using outlook express, and whenver somebody forwards her something it comes in as a blank document. Originally I thought she must not have HTML enabled on incoming messages, but I can't find a way to enable it. Any ideas?

BTW, support.microsoft.com is horrible...

Try sending her a plaintext message to see if html is causing the problem.

As a side note, nobody I know has ever been able to find a way to DISable incoming html, so if you find it, let us know 🙂

To set your Outlooke Express email so it will be in HTML format by defualt do this:

Run OE 5x. Open your address book using: CTRL+Shift+B

Right click your mouse on any name you wish to or to change it so it can do HTML.

In the menu that pops up click on PROPERTIES.

Click on the NAME tab. In that menu notice at the bottom that there is a box in the menu that says " Send E-Mail using plain text only."

If that is selected unselect it so the check mark disappears. From then on you can recieve/send both HTML notes and plain text notes.

Do that for each E-mail address you wish to be able to recieve notes in the HTML format. By defualt that is not selected.

Kind of easy once you know where to look.
