Ok so i got a new 160gb hard drive and i want to clone my little 40 gb hard drive to the 160 gb one and use the 160 gb one as my primary hd. I got the clone to work. But now im stuck. I cant get the cpu to boot off of the new drive. Any suggestions.

It's not that simple.

I'm no expert on this subject but seems to me there is more to it than just clonning the OS partition to another drive and expect it to boot off the new cloned drive.

Was there no documentation that you can read in the user manual that explains the steps to follow in Norton Ghost 2003?

Seems to me that that would be the way to go.

Why don't you just use the utility that come with your new hard drive ... or if the drive is OEM, just go to the manufacture web site and download it.

I am buy no means much of a tech advice giver , but wouldn't changing your boot preferences in the BIOS work. Boot from the new HD
maybe you have already done this

I have cloned old hard drives to new disks multiple times, and it has worked fine. Are you sure you have the right boot device set? Is it recognizing the drive? Can you slave the drive and boot off your old harddrive to make sure all the files are there, including boot.ini?
