Trouble with new build (VIDEO FIXED NOW ITS WINDOWS)

glad it's up and running, and that's the most bizarre turn I have ever seen where missing network drivers caused video issues.

ha ha, sorry I should clarify...

video issues were a motherboard compatability issue. I bought a board that was non-compatible with the e6850 processor even though the board was Core 2 Duo compatible (FSB speed) so I swapped it out for the ABIT. Then, I had a RAM issue which I was able to work through by setting the timing and latency in the BIOS. Lastly, I was having an issue with VISTA freezing up randomly during the boot process. This was due to the network drivers.

In another forum, people were blaming the freezing issue on the RAM, but it turned out the be the network drivers.

I just wanted to share this information so others have it in case they experience any of the issues above.

Thank you for checking back to see how I have made out....without help from others I would still be floundering.
