Trouble with networking and Win98

Hey all,

As i posted on the networking forum, i am having problems with my network, and i think the problem is that when i first installed this network card, windows asked for some files that i couldnt find anywhere, so i just ignored them and continued to install. After i got the net to work, it worked very slowly, and now, after reinstalling the drivers to see if it could fix this problem, the net can't work anymore ( I've already tried to reinstall the whole net, including protocols, etc. ). I already had this problem of the net refusing to work ( i receive some message saying i cannot access the network ) and a whole net reinstall would fix that. So, the question is, how can i fix this problem and is there any way to make windows think there never was any networking installed, removing all network related files, references, drivers, so i could do a clean reinstall of the whole net ?

Btw, i am using win98se with a cheapo no brand network card.
Thanks in advance,

Ivan
