Trouble With microphone

I recently upgraded from Xp to Windows 7, my mircophone, and headset worked fine on xp. I am using a SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio audio card. The headset works fine but the microphone will not work. I have installed all the drivers for it and have made sure that the microphone isnt muted. Any ideas?
