Trouble with Linksys WRT54GL

Here's how I have it set up basically, I've done two other networks the same way without and problems, but can't seem to figure out why this one can't connect to the internet.

It goes DSL Modem -> Wired Router -> Wireless Router, with the wireless router set up to be an access point with the custom Tomato firmware.

I've tried setting up with a static IP, I've tried bypassing the second router altogether, and several other things I'm too irritated to recall at the moment. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing the problem.

So can you connect to the internet with a pc connected directly to the wired router?
Unplug the wireless router and first make sure you can connect to the internet from a pc connected directly to the first router.

As far as how the wireless router is set up, just make sure DHCP is off. Connect one of its LAN ports to a LAN port of the wired router.
