I upgraded to ME then decided after having some lock ups that I'd reinstall ME fresh. After scandisk runs I get an error that reads:

standard mode: Bad Fault in MS-DOS Extender
stack fault, etc,etc,etc.

Anyone seen this before???

Thanks for any help,
Art

Check the media for scratches and also try doing a low-level format of your HD...

boot into dos from a boot disk and format c: /u and see if that will work...

I've seen this errors many times. Usually if your cpu is frying! Touch your heatsink , if you can't hold it for 10 seconds straight , there's your problem. Also this can happen as a result of a bad dimm or a corrupted cab file. Something is affecting the push/pop stack register routine of the o/s install.
