trouble with crossover and steam

so about a month ago i installed crossover on my MBP and installed steam and started to play cs,everything was fine. this past week when i load up the computer and steam automaticly starts up on the dock but never loads on my screen, just sits there in my doc, i also noticed crossover stopped starting up aswell, any idea whats going on here? it doesnt give me the option to quit steam and try to restart it,it just starts up right away and when the laptop starts up.

In the System Preferences, under User Accounts you should be able to access a list of Login Items. Check there to make sure that Steam is listed (which is why it would be starting at boot). If it is there, I would suggest removing it and then trying to re-install Steam (after backing up the folder of course).

Just remember, that this won't be a problem for much longer, Steam for OS X should hit in the next month or so IIRC.

its not in there, and i have the option to remove from dock not quit(when i right click) how can i uninstall steam an try to reinstall it?

For that, I have no idea. You might want to check on the Crossover forums, or something similar. I never could get into using Crossover.

Yea.. I would use Parallels with Steam before I would use Crossover. Never got great performance from it, and it would constantly crash for me.
