I'm having a hard time getting Acer to RMA my monitor. My company, small as it may be, ordered several of the AL1715's. We have had 2 with a green vertical bars and now one of the refurb replacements cannot be made to display colors an any sort of normal fashion.

Any tips on getting understood by Acer (after you wait on hold)?

A solicitor's letter?

A form from the small claims court to say they have 14 days to reply?

A letter with the letterhead from a well-known computer magazine?

OK, I think I may send my next email cc'ing as many tech magazines as I can.

Not quite letterhead but do you think that might help ratchet things up a bit?

If the desk editors of pc magazines start getting lots of 'non helpful' reports of a manufacturer, then, that isn't going to be good business for a manufacturer to arse around when it comes to satisfying the punters.....

BUT, the monitor is refurbed, and was it sold to you with warranty? And, if it was, was it the manufacturer's warranty?

That's the other thing that bugs me ... the monitors were new with mfg's warranty but when the monitors went in for service they came back as refurb'd monitors with different serial numbers. One of them was a different model even.

Thanks for the help!

That is not on.

If you bought a new monitor, then you want your new monitor back, or at least any new monitor.........

Raise hell.

Was the different model an upgrade?
If not, then it would have had to be a new comparitive model. - Definitely not a cheaper model.
