I'm sorry if this has been asked before, there's another thread regarding this board, but I didn't see the answer. I've just gotten this board with a 3000+ A64 and most everything seems to be okay. However, when I installed the Hardware Monitor and then ran it the temperature seemed extremely high. It's reporting 152 for the cpu die, and 24 for RT1 (no idea what this is). The fan's hooked up and spinning. At that temperature though, I shouldn't still have a CPU I would think? Wouldn't that fry it pretty instantly? The CPU and fan has thermal paste where they make contact, and the fan is just the default that comes with the retail processor. One thing I've also noticed is when I boot the machine up, it says it can't find a BIOS installed.

Also, just checked the BIOS and it's listed at a mild 52 degrees. So something's wrong with the software or something. I'm still not sure about the BIOS not installed problem.

Is that software giving you readings in celsius or fahrenheit? 152F would be 67C [(152-32)/1.8]. Still pretty warm if you're sitting idle. A lot of people have problems with the temperature monitoring software that comes with their motherboards so this wouldn't be the first time someone got an erroneous reading. My advice to you is to download Speedfan or Motherboard Monitor. Both of those free applications gave me more accurate readings than the CoreCenter software that came with my motherboard.
