I need some help. So far no technical support team has been able to shed light on these subjects, but then again they cannot be reached.

BP6:
This is not so much a problem, but I want it to be resolved. I am trying to update the BIOS using Awdflash (7.97). So I boot into dos, start the program and receive this error message: 'Fail due to EMM686 or QEMM!' What does this mean? I am dual booting with win98 and win2k.

KG7: (friends computer)
One day during normal operation received a blue screen and had to restart, but it would not boot into windows. Instead, one of two things happened. 1) Computer would freeze during that beautiful Win98 splash screen, 2) Would receive this error message: "While initializing device VCACHE: Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer."
At first I thought this could be a problem with either the Hard Drive or Motherboard. I put the HD in a different computer and ran scandisk, came back normal. So I formatted the drive using 'format c:', I did not fdisk. I then installed Win98SE again. Installed the video card (3DFX Voodoo3 PCI), everything running normal. Next I installed the sound card (Live! 5.1), rebooted and received the same errors. I have no clue what is going on, could this be associated with the BIOS or RAM?

any help is appreciated, thank you.
