Hi,

I recently got the Winfast Geforce 6800 but I have some problems with it:

When i installed the drivers provided by Winfast, (i think it's version 6.1.36).. after it installs, when i view IE or other stuff and use mouse scroll, there is some faint annoying beeping... I uninstalled it, and installed nvidia's forceware 61.77 but yet it still beeps or should i say buzzes...

I'm using a Gigabyte 7n400L mobo, XP2500.. and Audigy LS.. can someone help me please..

Never install drivers provided by the manufacturer. Uninstall it and get the drivers off nvidia's website.

anyways... with that fixed..

1. I'm thinking of OC-ing the 6800... i got it to 380 / 800 and it was fine... but after ermm... 3 hours of gaming, my pc rebooted... (not sure if it's cos the card)..

anyway, i'm using the stock HSF... and it's a Leadtek 6800..

2. one more thing.. is it possible for the winfox program that came with it to automatically load the OC'ed settings upon start up ?? or do i have to tune it up each time i reboot ?

Get coolbits and OC the card. I have my XFX 6800GT clocked at 416/1.13 I am trying for 420/1.15 but havent been able to get it stable yet...and may not....(although I saw on ORB last night a guy had a 6800 GT clocked at 450/1.5...I wanna know what that guy is doing.)

I also just got an NV Silencer and it helps cool the card by a fair margin. It is a 2 slot cooling solution so be warned.

oicc... i got the Winfast (Leadtek) card because apparently the cooling is one of the best, if not the best.. comes wif a huge copper Heatsink.. on both sides..

So, u suggest using coolbits to OC it ?? okay i'll use it then :)

Oh, and just a thought... which forceware are u using ?? the latest 66.72 ?? coz apparently that set of drivers will let the core remain cool... think some ppl said that after OC, temperatures don't go up by much.. like 5 or sumthin..
