I have LG 42LB5D...

A/V cable from Cable box to Receiver, Receiver to TV - I get horizontal lines going up

HDMI from Xbox 360 to TV - no lines

I do not have any other receiver or cables. What would be the best way to check if the problem is cable box, receiver, tv, or cables? Anyone have any idea what it might be or had similar problem?

try cable box direct to tv see what happens. I am guessing it might be a ground differential issue.
