Okay, i have a problem that has recently sprung up, my computer will be running fine, then out of nowhere....a program or game will lock up, and will restart. As it is booting up, it will restart again, and a again, then finally boot to the Windows XP login screen, Click on the login, then it will restart again, about 1-2 more times, then finally work fine again. Question is, what is casuing this problem?
My ram test fine, I recently bought a new Geforce FX 5200 vid card, I am running a Soundblaster live sound card, I have a brandnew Antec PSU, the voltages are steady on it....is it my motherboard going out? help me please figure this out 🙂

Can you get a hold of a good psu to swap and try it out? The Antec Truepower psu are good, those other one that they have are not so good. The SL350 that came with my stepson's Antec case gave us problem until I replaced it with the Fortron FSP350-60PN. That True Blue looks a lot like the SL350 with lighted fan. Right now I have on SL350 and 2 SL300 sitting in my basement!!

my voltages are rock solid, they dont even budge...my 5 Volt is 4.97 and my 12 is around @12.76, it is brand new and only a month old. And I wasnt haveing any problems until last week. last night I took out my soundblaster live card, and reinstalled my video drivers, and reseated all of my cards an ram and power, I will see how it acts the next couple of days. I am also picking up a new Via Kt600 mobo to see what kind of problems, if any, I have. One question, will a bad ide cable cause problems like this?
