Trouble sharing internet on 2 pc's over network.

Hi, I am trying to set up two win xp computers to share a dial up connection. They are connected with a crossover cable, and can communicate properly. Internet connection sharing is enabled, and the dial up connection on the "server" pc is shared. The "client" can see the shared dialup connection, and that it's active. It even shows up by the clock saying it's connected. The problem is that if you open firefox, it will not connect, it says the page cannot be found. Do I need to setup some kind of proxy in firefox? Any help is appreciated.
