Trouble running command line software in x64 Vista

I have an old command line based program that I have to use for one of my management classes. Whenever I run the .bat file, I get this message:

"The program or feature "Company#2\Formin.exe" cannot start or run due
to incompatibility to 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the
software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is
available."

Any way to make this thing compatible with my x64 Vista? I HIGHLY doubt the company has a 64-bit version available.

Sounds like your trying to run a 16bit app, those are no longer supported. You can run VirtualPC and setup Vista32 or XP32 in that VM and run it there.

Another option is to see if they have a 32 bit version, that's what I did (only $15 in my case)for the only 16 bit software program I had(paint package software).

I just installed Virtual PC 2007 and Vista 32-bit on it. I have it set to use 1024MB of my system RAM but Task Manager only shows it as using... 25MB... tops. My VPC is absolutely slow as molasses. Opening up something as simple as My Computer takes over a minute.

Hmm, thats is definately not 'normal'. Not sure what to try other than a reboot of the host and see if the guest starts acting normal after....
