Trouble recognising IDE drives with SATA

I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate and bought two 7210.10 seagate SATA drives from newegg. My problem is that when i put my Maxtor 120GB drive on the IDE channel. Vista's windows explorer doesn't recognize it so I am unable to transfer any of my important data to the new Sata drive on my Asus P4v800D-X . The ide channel also doesn't recognise my slave ZIP drive. I realoy need to accesss the IDE drives. Any ideas
