Trouble putting Gorb on Coppermine

I have one of those FC-PGA gorbs with the twist on clip mechanism. I'm having a lot of problems getting it on the CPU. When I hook up the clip to the tabs on the socket, it is REALLY loose, as in "I might as well not even put it on if it's that loose". But then when I twist it clockwise to try to get it to lock, it feels like there's so much resistance, as if I'm going to break the CPU before getting the thing to lock. Can anyone help me out with this? I had no problems hooking this thing on my PPGA Celeron before, as I never bothered to twist it because the heat slug protruded out enough to make it a tight fit. I just don't see how this can possibly fit on a coppermine CPU.

Thanks in advance,

Make sure the FSF is properly seated. Go ahead and twist it. After the first time, it will seem so easy. You will never want to go back to the push-on clip type.

BE CAREFUL. My freind got a FC-PGA orb for his Celeron II's and had the same problem as you. In the end, he had 2 crushed Cel II 600 CPUs to hang from the X-Mas tree :(
