I don't have a whole lot of time to game and I don't need ultra high settings, so I went budget with my recent build with a E2160 and ECS650iSLIT-A, and 2 gigs of Crucial Ballistix DDR-800 and a Cooler Master RR-PCH-S9U1-GP Hyper TX CPU fan.
I'm not looking to set any records OCing, just get it up into the high 2s and stay stable. When I first started I got it up to around where I wanted, but when I tried to test at 3 ghz, which has been very common for this chip from the research I've done, it wouldn't post. I figured that was normal and updated to the latest BIOS to see if that would help, and now I can't OC to even 2.2 without the comp not posting and having to reset the BIOS. I'm not an experianced OCer, and I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advice on what is going wrong and how to fix it. If I can get a stable 2.6, I would be happy.
