Trouble Overclocking XP 2000+. Ideas?

Here is the setting I have:

Athlon XP 2000+
256MB Crucial PC2700
Epox 8k3ae
Visiontek GeForce 4 128MB
The CPU is a AGOIA stepping.
Heatsink is Alpha PAL6035, and using Arctic silver 2. But CPU temp is always around 55-58

I increased fsb 1mhz at a time. When I got to 138mhz fsb, 3dmark 2001 SE would suddenly close on me, going back to Windows desktop like it was never running in the first place. I left 3DMark2001 SE to run a loop of 90, and it did that in between somewhere.

So the question is... what's the next step?

I would look at upping the voltage on the sqaure and RAM a tad and maybe relaxing the timings to the RAM as well...You do have a good HS/Fan and compound added I assume?
Also keep in mind that some of the earlier stepping on the CPU were not great OCer's

Ok, so I increased CPU voltage to 1.775 from 1.75.

I just completed 120 loops of 3D Mark 2001 SE benchmark.

I did not relax the mem timing. Is it necessary to do so?

only if the mem isn't stable at whatever speed it is running at
just experiment
that's what it's all about

Ok, I am now at 139mhz fsb and running stable. I will come post again when i hit my next wall to borrow the expertise of the ppl here 🙂
