Trouble overclocking i7 920 D0

I can't seem to get over 149 BCLK on my i7 chip. It is a D0 currently at stock volts (1.25v).

Memory does not seem to be the issue. I can run my mem @ 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 timings fine at stock. I brought the mem divider down to 2:8 when attempting to set the BCLK over 149 so it was running about half its rated speed and still no go.

Everything else in BIOS is set at default aside from DRAM voltage which is set to 1.62v. Is my chip just a dud for overclocking? It's perfectly stable at 149 BCLK. Just wanted to get it up to around 165 but it seems impossible for me. As soon as I push it past 149 it no longer posts, even at 150.

Motherboard is a EVGA X58 LE btw. Maybe I should try updating BIOS?

Dumb question, but did you lower your CPU clock ratio to truly isolate BCLK? Also, what are your QPI and uncore mults? Don't forget to disable C1E, C3/6/7, thermal monitor and EIST as well.

Another suggestion would be to give the QPI/Vtt voltage a slight boost. I have to run 1.24V (stock 1.2V) on my EX58-UD3R and get a 205BCLK without problems.
