Trouble mounting mobo to case

Seems my Gigabyte board won't mount correctly to my Antec SX635 case, and I'm not sure whether I should leave it as is, or make some new holes. Forget trying to mount it with 9 screws, I can barely hold it in with 4. There are only 5 holes that match up to begin with between the case holes and the holes in the board. Of those, for some reason I can only get 4 screws in. The fifth never matches up quite 100%. I've tried everything--loosening the other screws, tightening them, shifting the board slightly. Nothing is working, and I'm worried that the board will twist and warp over time if its not held in properly, in addition to concerns about shorts.

What should I do?

I only have 4 screws in my Giga-byte board, also. I think it can take 8 or 9. I don't think it's a real big deal. Everything's been working fine for me. If I were you, I wouldn't risk drilling new holes. You could easily ruin your board!

Achtung, that's a great case, now there should be holes in the case where you can move the standoffs if necessary, when you put the board in the case can you see the holes in the case lined up with the holes in the board? if so just move the standoffs to the corresponding holes. If the stand offs are already in the holes the board should match but doesn't then I would like to know which form factor your board is because it would have to be unsupported to not fit in that case because it Fits standard ATX / Pentium 4 Up to 12" (W) x 9.6" (L) 305 (W) x 300 (L) mm

Well I'm pretty sure its an ATX board, the GA-7VRXP. It really looks like only 5 holes match up when I put the board on there. I have already moved the standoffs, but I can only put them into the existing holes in the case. Maybe I'll try again, but I think in the end I may get stuck using just 4 screws.

So to answer your question, only 5 holes match up. And for whatever reason, I can only get screws into 4 of them at a time. Am I doing something wrong?

Well your board's dimensions are Dimension : ( 23.5 x 30.4 cm ) standard ATX so it supposed to fit  You should post this in the Case and cooling forum and see if someone has some experience with that combo or can provide the easiest soluion, good luck :)

The backplate on the case can be moved, just loosen up the 2 screws that hold the backplate on and bump it over a little.
