Trouble loading OS

I have a problem w/ the computer which perhaps you guys can aid me in. I have problems loading the OS. I first tried loading the Windows 2000 boot disk but it comes back with "NTLDR Missing". So I use the windows 98SE boot up disk and it says something like, " Non-replacement disk, replace and hit enter key again". I then tried windows 2000 boot disk again and it loads but then it says "error 7" and it restarts it self and happens all over again.

What is the error you receive when you just try to boot the OS (no boot disk)?

To make things clear, there's no windows 2000 "boot disk" so that's why that won't work for you.
The 98 boot disk should boot to a prompt, so something's probably wrong with the disk. You should try making another one. However, if you've partitioned your drives in NTFS the 98 boot disk will prove useless because it can only read, and consequently write, to FAT partitions.

What you need to do is use the 2k cd to boot off of, or the 4 installation boot disks which can be made from the windows 2k cd in any OS.

Once you've booted either off the CD or the installation disks, you'll need to go into the Repair Options and either use Fast Repair or the Recovery Console (essentially DOS).

You should try to remedy the problem in Safe Mode first, but because you haven't given any detail to what the exact problem is, it's unclear whether u can even get to safe mode.

Please provide more specific information regarding your problem.
