Stated having trouble with a lot a error message and decided to reinstall XP. Re-formatted the harddrive and started installation. Half way in I get a message saying that files are not copying correctly and I need to check the Cd disk. Re- formatted and try again with a different Xp disk, same message. Pull HD and put in new one and same message. Swapped out CD player and tried, same message. Changed out CD and HD cables and reseated Mem., same message. Now we have tried 3 copies of XP, 3 different HD and 2 different cd players plus changing cables and reseating even the Vid card(I know) and still the same message. Any Ideals? thanks rdbelden

This might help, try a different memory stick. I beleive when installing windows, setup will load temp files in your memory.

Memtest is a program used to test your memory. you'll have to d/l this from another computer being that yours is not working. The program runs under doss. Hope this helps...
