Trouble Loading from CD Only

Hello,

I just built a new computer and I am having trouble loading from the CD only. I am installing Windows 7 RC on a Gigabyte UD3P with a Q9550.

I have set the BIOS every way I can imagine. Set boot sequence to CD first with HDD second. Completely disabled HDD with CD first and only..

There is another problem though.. When I hit F2 and go into the "Boot Sequence" (not inside the "Del" Bios [meaning press del to access]) the HDD has a "+" next to it and my keyboard is disabled completely. There is no way to change this..

Has anyone come across these problems.

1. Cannot boot from CD only, it loads to Windows everytime.
2. Keyboard is disabled in F2 "Boot Sequence screen with "+ Hard Drive" being the only thing highlighted..

Thanks for the help!

**Edit

Forgot to mention. Going from Windows 7 Beta 32-bit to 64-bit. When running Setup.exe from the CD Autostart it errors giving a message "Not compatible with this version of Windows".

"Not compatible with this version of Windows" means that your hardware is not 64bit compatible.

That comes up because it will not allow the upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit. Does not really matter regarding the hardware.

OP - Sounds like it might be a bad burn, does it do the same thing with other media? ie the win7 beta or vista dvd?

It matters more with hardware than anything else. Often, it is simply a matter or new hardware drivers that are 64-bit compatible.
