Trouble Loading ASUS drivers and software???

Got my first PC put together last night. Powered up and everything works great. Loaded XP, loaded good. My problem is with the ASUS driver/software CD that came with the mobo. I can not load the AMD Cool N' Quiet Driver. I get and error saying:

Setup Has experienced and Error
Please do the following:
-Close any runing programs
-Empty your temporary folder
-Check you internet connection (Internet-based Setup)

Then try to run setup again.

Error Code: -5001

So I closed all AV software and anything else running, emptied my temp internet folder and tried it again and same error.

When I try and load the ASUS PC Probe v2.22.10 I get an error saying:

Can not load AsmiEnum.dll

But I can continue past that and once it has finished and I try to run the program I get an error saying:

C:\Program Files\ASUS\Probe\ASUSPROBE.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Jason

Is CnQ enabled in the BIOS? Also, try this:

1) get the latest version of the driver from Asus's download site

2) if it insists on not installing, plunk it into the C:\WINDOWS\TEMP folder and now try running it from there.

Thank you for your help. I was able to grab the latest files from the website as you suggested. I guess I can not expect perfection for my first time build. But I am curious what CnQ in the BIOS is?

Short for "Cool 'n Quiet," sorry about that. You have the option to enable or disable the capability in the motherboard's BIOS.

Thank you. Got it now. Not savvy on this computer yet, but is this a good feature to enable or is it a luxury?

I dunno, my work system has the capability too, but I just leave it run at full 2000MHz anyway. It's not exactly "Hot 'n Noisy" even at 2000MHz, so what the heck :D I use an aftermarket heatsink, Alpha PAL8150, with a reasonably-quiet fan on it, but I heard good things about the retail AMD A64 heatsink/fan too, and it sounds like it performs just as well as mine does, from what other owners of the same mobo reported for CPU temps.
