trouble installing xp

I am helping a friend with his computer problem-it will not install xp home.It boots from the cd-rom and starts the setup process and then freezes.2k installs fine.any ideas?thanks.

possible bad cd??

is it a burned copy or a real winxp copy?

real cd.it loads fine on another machine

Try installing it on a "minimized" machine. Remove the sound card, Nic, modem etc.....
Even try a older Vid card..............Greg

See if he is using a raid setup
he needs XP pro to run raid ,home doesn't support it
