I've got problems installing the Windows XP Pro SP1 in a hitachi sata hard drive...
i've never install windows on a sata hard disk, this is the first time.
The BIOS recognize the disk, that's for sure, but installing windows it tells me that there is no hard drive in my system. Of course i've asked some friends of mine, and they've told me that I need a floppy disk that should come with the motherboard, but the mother (ASUS K8V-X) do not provide ANY diskette. I've tryed pushing F6 during the installation, but then it request a floppy disk that i haven't got. Searching in the CD from the mother, i found some "SATA drivers", inside a folder called VIARAID, i'd taken the drivers inside the windows XP folder from that drivers, and then put them into a diskette, by the way... i do all this in DOS :p, although it wasn't easy at the first time, it was rather fast then.
Now everything should be OK, but IT IS NOT!
When i insert the diskette in the floppy, after windows asked me to do so... it appears a legend which told me that there it is a file missing... called txtsetup.oem what the hell is that file! Of course it doesn't exist... I don't find any reason for that... this may be a fool question, but maybe some of you had had the same problem. I would aprecciate your support, thank you very much in advance

1) Download the drivers from this site.
2) Extract the zip file.
3) Inside the new VIARAID folder, there's a folder called DriverDisk. Copy the contents of that folder to a floppy.
4) Boot the new system from the XP install CD as instructed before, pressing F6 when prompted and having the floppy disk ready.

Installation will go on as usual once the drivers are loaded from the disk.
The VIARAID folder also has a README.TXT with these instructions, among other info.
