trouble installing win2k...

I installed win2k and got to the desktop. When I rebooted, there was an error saying system drive failure, and it forces me to boot from the CD to get to the login screen. I've gone into Bios and made the hard drive the second bootable device after the floppy and it still does this.

any ideas?
