I just finished putting together a new system using ASRock's Z77 Extreme4. I went to the driver download page for the motherboard and downloaded the latest Realtek high definition audio driver: http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=Z77 Extreme4&o=Win764

However, when I run Setup.exe I get an error message. Here's what I'm seeing:

Any thoughts on what might be going on or how I can install the driver?

Update: For the time being I installed these drivers directly from Realtek's website: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Are these the right drivers?

Those should be the correct drivers. If that error is coming up after the install is done don't worry about it. I'm surprised to see may installers give that error at the end

Also I would fully extract the drivers to install and not directly from inside the zip in case that is what you are doing by the look of the screenshot

Doh! That did it. I can't believe I forgot to extract the files. Thanks for the help and I apologize for my own stupidity!

How else you gonna learn if you don't f-up once in a while :)

As much as I hate dealing with mistakes and not understanding what I did wrong, I have to say I have learned so much from an attempt and then it failed that it's worth it.
