Trouble Installing new TV Tuner

Homerboy

Lifer
I recently bought a new (used) Hauppage 150 TV Tuner from the FS/FT forum.
Installed the card and windows detected it as "Multimedia Video Controller"
I followed the steps described on Hauppage's website to install the drivers for the card located here: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_pvr150.html

When I run HCWDriverInstall.exe per the directions it tells me "Drivers have NOT been updated. Compatible Hardware not found"

I tried manually installing the drivers via the device manager, but when pointed to the unzipped driver directory, I'm told no compatible drivers found.

I did previously have an older, cr@ppier Hauppauge installed in this machine, but I also tried running the HCWCLEAR program and got the same results on running HCWDriverInstall.exe afterwards.

If anyone has ANY suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Well its sounds like your running the update drivers first, and they cant find the base drivers installed. You didnt copy the update drivers into the same folder as the base drivers and overwrite them?

I unzip: pvr150_base_driver_2_23258.zip
within that unzipped dir there is: HCWDriverInstall.exe
I run that, and that gives me the error
I dont even get to the step to run PVR150_22_23257.exe
