Trouble installing legacy soundcard in SS7 system

I am attempting to install a Addonics isa soundcard on a Epox SS7 system with a Diamond supraexpress isa modem I can install the modem but as soon as I install the soundcard the modem quits I am getting smnall white exclamation marks in the device manager under the soundcard Please point me in the right directioon Thanks Chas
 
Since the soundcard is a legacy device, I'd remove the modem and install the soundcard. Let it grab the resources it needs. Once that's working, reinstall the modem.
 
Thanks for the tip I just found Addonics web page where its states the driver is not win 98 compatible I am gonna try your idea and Yamaha generic drivers thanks Chas
