Trouble installing drivers for GF2 GTS-V

I have an OEM version of the Visiontek Xtasy 5632 GTS-V Geforce2 card and I cannot get the drivers to install and work properly in Win2k. I have been able to install this card on another machine with Win98 and it works fine, but on my machine with Win2k I cannot get the card to work. I continue to get the error message "An error occured during installation, the data is invalid".
I am not running any anti virus software during installation, and I'm not overclocking the machine (Soyo 6ba+100 mobo, Celeron 900). I do have an IRQ assigned to VGA in BIOS. But no matter how I try it, I can't get the Nvidia reference drivers (28.32) to work for this card. Any help?

Please?!??!!?

Remove all traces of the drivers for the previous card.

Install the drivers that came with it first to establish that the card is OK.
