Trouble installing Android Studio (Windows 8)

I wanted to try making an Android app with Android Studio, but I can't install it. It says it fails to find the java.exe file. So I added the JAVA_HOME variable to point to the java.exe file and also added the location to the path variable. I did the same for JDK_HOME and pointed it to c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21 and I still cannot get Android Studio to install. Has anyone ran into this issue here?

Is it 64 bit? it should be Program Files (x86), also did you make them system variables?

64bit JDK you mean? If so, yes. And yes I did make them system variables.

Install the x86 bit version of JDK.

jdk-7u21-windows-i586.exe
