Trouble installing an external hd

I just bought an external enclosure and installed the hd. The pc recognizes it and installs it and says it's ready for use, but it doesn't show up under My Computer. It shows up under Admin tool>computer management>disk management but says unreadable after I restarted my pc.

Edit:I just turned it off and back on and now it appears to be fine.
