Hey guys, I am a little new to this forum, but hopefully, you guys could help me out. I have two UW 160 hard drives that have SCA connectors. I bought an adaptor that was UW160 compatable, but for some reason, i'm only getting a 80M/s transfer. I don't understand what's going on. I bought different adaptors from different people, hoping that it was an adaptor problem, but it isn't. I'm using a 29160 card, and the cables that came with it. Plz help me. =)

Well, from the looks of it, those adapters aren't really U160 compatible, but really only U2W compatible (which just happens to be 80mbps). I'd say your best bet would be to get an adapter from an actual retailer (online, probably) because then you can get a refund if it doesn't comply fully with U160. Also, something you may consider is the facts that a) 160mbps is only the maximum, not the average, and b) you're still using a 32-bit PCI interface - your transfer rate will be limited by that.
