Trouble converting a CD to mp3 format (too many little chunks)

I recently purchased a 16-volume speech that is spread out over 30 days worth of CDs. Since I prefer to listen to them on my mp3 player, I'd like to change each CD to mp3 format. But when I pop each CD in, according to windows explorer, each is made up of something like 40 tracks [Track01.cda, Track02.cda, Track03.cda, etc.] each of which is listed as being 1 kb in size (Type: Winamp Media File).
When I put them all into my winamp playlist, they are listed as being anywhere from 26 second long to 5 minutes long. So I guess all together, they comprise the entire track whcih could be listened to seamlessly on a CD player.
Does anybody know how I can take all these different chunks and convert them to mp3 format as one big, seamless file? Thanks.

in a round about way, you could use EZ CD Creator (or nero i believe) and put all the MP3s in consecutive order onto a music CD, but before burning, MERGE the tracks together, for one huge seemless CDA track, then burn it (or make a CD Image and use a program to display it as a CD (Daemon tools is great for this), and then re-rip the new CDA Track from the CD as MP3, and you'll have one long continuous MP3 :)

if you choose to burn them, make sure you use RW's so you don't waste any CDs.

I'm pretty sure EAC or CDEX (do a Google search for them) will rip multiple tracks into a single file. Then use LAME to convert the file to mp3.
