Hey everyone,
I just got that Rosewill RNX-N4PS wireless router that was on sale at Newegg. I'd been using my dual NIC primary computer (Monolith) as a ghetto-router, but decided to upgrade to something that would free up the computer from that task and allow me to connect my Sony PSP to the internet.
I've successfully gotten online with both the computers I've tested, but have discovered that no matter what WPA encryption I set the router to (WPA(TKIP) or WPA2(AES)), my Sony PSP can't connect to the wireless router. I made sure my PSP was set to infrastructure mode and have tried both automatic and manual entry of the router (including the security keys). out of 20 or so times, I've not even been able to have the router show up in the list of available connection but two times. I've already looked around for guides and suggestions, but haven't had much luck. I've tried enabling static IP on the router, didn't help. I've tried to enter in the PSP's MAC address as one to automagically accept, but it won't accept it since I don't have an IP (and I have no idea how the PSP processes or if it even uses a unique IP).
Anyone experience this problem before? Any magic solutions out there? I seem to be able to get on when I have my router's security settings all but disabled, but would greatly prefer having the security turned up.
