Hi gang,

I'm using a HP slimline S3220N as my HTPC. I just got a HIS 3450 card yesterday, and it installed fine. The card has DVI and TV out on it. I used a DVI to VGA adapter and hooked it up to my monitor and installed the drivers from the CD. Then I went to ATI's site and downloaded the CCC 8.7's and installed them.

I then hooked up the component out adapter to my TV, and went into CCC and made the TV my primary monitor and shut off the PC monitor. Now, the screen is all blue-ish and very washed out. It's really hard to see. TV is a older Pioneer RPTV. In CCC, the max rez I can use is something like 1024x768 and the max refresh rate is 30i. The component adapter I'm using is from another forum member- HIS doesn't include one.

At first I thought it might be the cables, so I switched out component cables, and it's the same issue. I have it going directly into the TV.

Any thoughts/advice/comments would be greatly apreciated. I've been setting up this HTPC for months, ripping all my movies and getting Media Center just how I want it. Now, when it comes time to take it off a 19"monitor and put it on a 64" widescreen TV, it doesn't work. :(

Thanks,
Aaron

So you are going from DVI to VGA to Component to your TV? See if you can find a DVI to Component adapter, I think it might be due to going to VGA, but I could be wrong. Does your TV have a VGA input?
