hey everytime i boot my computer up, it goes to a black screen that says Detecting Array...
and doesnt do anything after that. so i try rebooting a couple more times and then i get a message saying BOOT DISK FAILURE, PLEASE INSERT THE CORRECT DISK AND HIT ENTER.
so i reboot a couple more times and it finally boots up. can anyone tell me whats wrong? is my hard drive beginning to fail? my computer also makes a lot of noise, partially due to my northbridge fan. im thinking the other noise is the hard drive. i made a post about it here

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=27&threadid=1876326&enterthread=y

can someone tell me what it wrong? thanks for the help in advance

sounds like your array is going bad.

this happens to me every once in a while if i have an abnormal shutdown. usually i get the message that my array is degraded.

my drives are mirrioed so what i do is break the mirrior and then recreate it.

btw i'm using the nvidia software raid that you see during the boot up, not windows software raid.

let us know what your system spec are and how you setup your drives so we have better information and can tell you what you can do.
