Trouble accessing the configuration page of my router

I own a Linksys BEFsr41 and I went to change the password for it from admin to something else. (just to be safe).

Anyway, i deleted that field filled with the little ********** and entered my new password.

It saved the settings and then I tried to access the router again.

The field asking for my info came up. I eneter the new password in the field and it wouldn't take. I don't know what to enter for login name, since I didnt change anything that involved that stuff.

Any suggestions??? Also, is there any thing that can return the router to it's default settings?
 
Had same problem with a different number router - was ready to send it back (a computer tech told me it wouldn't work) but when I called to return it, the guy connected me to tech and he got me up and running! Mine has a reset button on the back - but you gotta hold it for about 30-40 seconds - not sure if this is what you needed - now if only someone can help me finish my wireless setup
